 Aeration
is a
unit
process
in which
air
and
water
are
brought
into
intimate
contact
while
the
thermodynamic
equilibrium
is decisive
for
the
maximum
possible
extend
of aeration,
the
rate
of exchange
and,
hence,
the
degasification
efficiency
is mainly
a function
of the
surface
area
of the
exchanger.

Feroxer
Water
is cleaned
after
Fe and
Mn is
removed
through
the
Contact-Oxidation
method
with
special
filtering
material
called
FEROX.
Ferox,
a highly
oxidizing
mineral
with
excellent
catalyzing
capacity
causes
the
oxidation
of Iron
and
manganese
contained
in the
water,
which
has
been
previously
injected
with
potassium
permanganate
or O2.
The
mineral
filters
the
precipitate
while
retaining
the
excess
permanganate
at the
same
time.
